At the start of a working bee, a member noticed that the sleepers at the side of a track had been disturbed. On investigation, this barking or thick-tailed gecko was on the path, exposed and at risk of being breakfast of a passing bird. It's tail appeared to be regrowing after a previous close encounter.
It didn't like being persuaded to return to shelter!
This little video and photos were taken on a mobile phone.
