Orchids in Black Hill Conservation Park

Genoplesium rufum
red midge-orchid
This tiny orchid is easily overlooked.
The entire plant is about 10cm tall, the flowers are tiny, only a few millimetres across, and
the leaves are like scales on the sides of the stem.
These photos were taken 7 May 2006 in Black Hill Conservation Park.
